Two kids meet on a camp out and share an interest in astronomy. Years later in high school, they meet again and join the Earth Sciences club. Animation was pretty ordinary, with a couple well done scenes. I liked the way they animated the leg movement and light during the phone call between Ao and Mira. Similar to 'Laid Back Camp' in character design and plot. The first episode focused more on the friendships and the integration of geology and astronomy into the single Earth Sciences club than on learning about the respective sciences. But further episodes might go into more sciencey detail. All girl cast didn't have any fan service until the end credits, which I appreciated as I tend to skip those after the first viewing. I do wonder why mixed-cast anime isn't done more often. I feel like it's truer to life and would add an extra perspective to so many anime, turning the average bread-and-butter anime into insightful classics that last for generations. That being said, Asteroid In Love is worth a look-see. I'll certainly be watching more (if only to learn more science!). ;)
