Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!: Rating: Hm hm

Two anime-obsessed teens and their 'normal' friend meet and try to make their own anime.  This put a fresh face on a tired old theme.  The characters were all female, fan service was at record lows, and their personalities were real--not at all trope-y.  One does character designs, the other does concept designs.  Understandably amazing art.  The detail that went into the scenes and backgrounds was amazing.  And the plot doesn't rely on the amazing art, either.  The chase scene was well done, with a lot of space for humor, as was the end scene with dialogue from the non-anime-geek friend.  The way the two anime friends collaborated was an exciting foreshadowing of episodes to come.
